Located in the southwest of Mallorca, near Calviá, Las Barracas is a private estate of almost 1000 hectares in Mallorca, just 20km Southwest from Palma, with direct access to the coast and stunning views over the Tramuntana Mountains. The area’s unique terrain, climate and vegetation make it the ideal location for driven and walked-up partridge.
The hunting day is composed by four or five different drives, previously selected to match the group´s requirements and challenge their abilities. The famous “tapas” and light refreshments served during the shoot, and a superb meal in the main house at the end of the day (worthy of a luxury restaurant), are the perfect culmination to this unforgettable shooting experience.
Key Facts
Las Barracas estate belongs since many generations to the Rossiñol family, descendants of a nobleman who accompanied King Jaime I conquering Majorca in the 13th Century.
The house, recently restored with the utmost care and respect for all the original architectural features, offers a total of 12 elegant and comfortable spacious double rooms with en-suite bathrooms, a large living and dining lounge with fireplace, a bar area and also an independent lounge for meetings, all nicely decorated and keeping the authentic Mediterranean style.
Outside, guests may enjoy the swimming pool and its sun bed area amongst the wild olives and rock formations.
Weather conditions in Mallorca are excellent with fresh mornings and sunny days. Average temperatures during the season are between 15ºC and 20ºC. In addition, we are allowed to hunt 7 days a week, anytime from 20th September to 20th April.
