Simulated Game Shooting
Our simulated days will run from April to September, so there will be plenty of dates available to arrange a great day out.
Our aim is to simulate as closely as possible, the flight pattern of pheasant, partridge, ducks and even pigeon. Maybe even a cheeky bolting rabbit!
A typical day begins with a get together in the lodge or house, where you will enjoy a bacon roll (or two) with tea and coffee. The shoot host will discuss the day with you and explain all of the safety features. Don’t worry if you haven’t shot simulated game before, we will have staff on hand to assist and advise you.
We set out for the first of three morning drives and enjoy drinks and nibbles between each drive. We then head back to the house or lodge for a brilliant lunch and return to the field for two more drives and conclude the day with afternoon tea.
Our simulated days’ work best with 12 – 20 guns, with up to 8 shooting at any one time.
We run each of the drives twice so one guest will shoot and the other will load, then you switch. This ensures that everyone is always involved throughout the day! Each Gun can expect to shoot about 350 – 450 cartridges a day, many more if you are keen on poaching!

Marrington
Availability: April – July
Marrington is a gem hidden in the steep valleys on the Shropshire / Powys border. This is a proper sporting estate managed to the highest standards offering superb game shooting in the winter and now excellent simulated game days in the summer. The estate has a great fun and relaxed atmosphere which can be felt from the moment you arrive. Fantastic facilities, stunning scenery and friendly staff are Just three factors that help guarantee a brilliant day out.
The simulated days are organised Just like a traditional driven game day. We meet in the morning for coffee and bacon rolls, draw pegs and then set out on our way for the first of four drives.
Using the high rolling banks, the steep woodland glades and the conifer forestry on the very top of the estate, we are able to offer outstanding simulated pheasants & partridges. The birds presented are challenging and the variety of drives is great fun for both the experienced and novice shot.

Eastnor Castle

The Castle sits dramatically in the foothills of the Malvern Hills, surrounded by a 5,000 acre estate in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The shooting takes you all over the estate, climbing up to drives that provide exceptional views over proper Herefordshire countryside.
As you would expect from such a prestigious estate the hospitality is exceptional. There will be no shortage of nibbles around the estate which you can enjoy after each drive. Once you have enjoyed plenty of shooting around the beautiful estate you will return to Hillend House and relax in its luxury all whilst enjoying a sumptuous lunch provided by the in-house chef.
The Estate is located in the beautiful village of Ledbury. Driving time from Birmingham is approximately 1 hour 40 minutes.

Vivod
Availability: May – July
Vivod, this is a truly hidden gem in the beautiful rolling hills of near Llangollen. It is a sporting estate with a pedigree and quite rightly so; a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff, excellent hospitality and outstanding food all combine to make a day’s simulated shooting here a real treat. Using the high rolling grass banks, the steep woodland glades, dense conifer forestry and rolling moorlands, we are able to offer outstanding simulated game shooting with challenging and varied drives for all to enjoy.

A Typical Day
9:00am – Meet
The day begins with a get together at the Estate’s Main House, where you will enjoy a bacon roll with tea and coffee. The shoot host will discuss the day with you and explain all of the safety features. Don’t worry if you haven’t shot simulated game before, we will have staff on hand to assist and advise you.* Three drives in the morning We set off for our first drives amongst the spectacular countryside of North Wales. Clays are fired to simulate as closely as possible, the flight pattern of pheasant, partridge and even pigeon. Refreshments and canapes are served after the second drive.
12:30pm – Lunch
Enjoy a home-cooked lunch within the welcoming atmosphere of the Estate’s Main House.
Two drives in the afternoon
3:30pm – Afternoon Tea
We will then return back to the Estate to enjoy freshly baked cakes with tea or coffee and enjoy the banter of the day! Each drive will be in a different location, shot from pegs or butts and will consist of around 600 ‘birds’ (clays) per drive, depending on the number of guns. Expect to use a fair few cartridges on the day!

Loaders, Guns, Cartridges are available at an extra cost for your simulated game day if required.
*Please note that inexperienced/novice guns will require an Instructor on the day which we would be pleased to arrange for you if necessary
